UFC Rankings 2026 — Pound-for-Pound and division leaders

Islam Makhachev is the consensus pound-for-pound #1 going into 2026, defending the lightweight title with a record-breaking unbeaten streak in the UFC. Ilia Topuria (Spain/Georgia) sits at #2 after dethroning two champions across two weight classes, and Jon Jones rounds out the top three as heavyweight king with one of the most decorated résumés in MMA history.

Most UFC numbered events (UFC 300, UFC 301, etc.) are pay-per-view in the US via ESPN+ PPV. UFC Fight Nights are included with the regular ESPN+ subscription. In Spain and Latin America, DAZN holds the broadcast rights — Movistar streams them for free with a subscription in Spain. The historic UFC White House card on July 4, 2026, will have wider distribution.

The UFC rankings are voted on by a panel of media members after every event. Each weight class lists a reigning champion plus 15 ranked contenders, with a separate pound-for-pound list combining results across divisions. Champions are not ranked within their own division; they have the symbol "C" on top of the list. A loss usually drops a fighter several positions; a statement KO over a top-5 opponent moves them up.

Ilia Topuria (Spain/Georgia) is by far the best Spanish-flagged fighter in UFC history. He became the first featherweight to KO Alexander Volkanovski and then captured a second world title at lightweight, all while preserving an undefeated record. Joel Álvarez (Spain) is also climbing the lightweight rankings and is widely tipped to break into the top 10 in 2026.
