UFC Rankings 2026 — Pound-for-Pound and division leaders

Pound-for-pound, reigning champion and top 5 contenders for every weight class. Curated from official UFC rankings and MMA media. See how each fighter heads into the historic UFC White House on July 4 and the rest of the 2026 calendar.

How to read the 2026 UFC rankings — and what changed since 2025

The 2026 UFC season has reshuffled most divisions. Islam Makhachev continues to hold pound-for-pound supremacy, but the gap with Ilia Topuria — who knocked out Alexander Volkanovski at featherweight and then moved up to take the lightweight belt — is closer than ever. Right behind them, Jon Jones still owns the heavyweight throne, with Tom Aspinall looming as the obvious next challenger and the most demanded fight of 2026.

In the lower weight classes, Merab Dvalishvili defends bantamweight with the most active fight schedule in the division, while Alex Pereira is again the storyline at light heavyweight after his rivalry with Magomed Ankalaev and Jiri Prochazka. The women’s strawweight and flyweight scenes have also been rebuilt around new champions, and the featherweight title is still vacant pending the official tournament confirmed for the autumn.

All rankings on this page reflect official UFC voting as of the last updated PPV plus our own editorial reading of the contender picture. UFC rankings 2026 — frequently asked questions

Who is the UFC pound-for-pound #1 in 2026?+

Islam Makhachev is the consensus pound-for-pound #1 going into 2026, defending the lightweight title with a record-breaking unbeaten streak in the UFC. Ilia Topuria (Spain/Georgia) sits at #2 after dethroning two champions across two weight classes, and Jon Jones rounds out the top three as heavyweight king with one of the most decorated résumés in MMA history.

Where can I watch UFC fights live and free in 2026?+

Most UFC numbered events (UFC 300, UFC 301, etc.) are pay-per-view in the US via ESPN+ PPV. UFC Fight Nights are included with the regular ESPN+ subscription. In Spain and Latin America, DAZN holds the broadcast rights — Movistar streams them for free with a subscription in Spain. The historic UFC White House card on July 4, 2026, will have wider distribution.

When is the next UFC title fight?+

The full 2026 UFC calendar is published on our dedicated page: dates, venues, main events and championship bouts. The Fourth of July card at the White House is the most anticipated event of the year — three title fights are confirmed and you can see the full lineup in our dedicated coverage.

How does the UFC ranking system work?+

The UFC rankings are voted on by a panel of media members after every event. Each weight class lists a reigning champion plus 15 ranked contenders, with a separate pound-for-pound list combining results across divisions. Champions are not ranked within their own division; they have the symbol "C" on top of the list. A loss usually drops a fighter several positions; a statement KO over a top-5 opponent moves them up.

Who is the best Spanish UFC fighter today?+

Ilia Topuria (Spain/Georgia) is by far the best Spanish-flagged fighter in UFC history. He became the first featherweight to KO Alexander Volkanovski and then captured a second world title at lightweight, all while preserving an undefeated record. Joel Álvarez (Spain) is also climbing the lightweight rankings and is widely tipped to break into the top 10 in 2026.
